Nam Dam Dao village
Cỡ chữ Tương phản
Nam Dam Cultural Village is located in the center of Quan Ba Commune, Quan Ba District. Surrounded by primeval forest and beautiful rice terraces, this is home to the Dao Cham (or long dress Dao) ethnic group.

The people here still preserve their traditional cultural identity, which is reflected in their customs, rituals and daily activities, such as folk songs and dances, costumes and house architecture and especially festivals as, for example, the maturity ritual which is a ceremony no single Dao man misses, because only after it he is considered mature.

Nam Dam is the first village to develop community-based (homestay) tourism in Quan Ba, since 2012. Houses are refurbished, retaining traditional architecture while satisfying visitor’s basic needs (bathroom with hot-cold water, clean blankets, good food etc.). People are in their traditional dresses, friendly and open, behaving each as a tourist guide.

Coming to Nam Dam, visitors will have opportunities to experience local people’s daily activities: work on the field, cook and enjoy local specialties, traditional dance etc. In addition, there are also herbal bath services, traditional herbs that are planted and processed locally - an attraction that is difficult to ignore.

In 2017, one of Nam Dam homestays was honored the title "ASEAN Homestay" certified by the ASEAN Secretary General and Tourism Ministers of member countries.
